System Administrator

TL;DR

System Administrator: Supporting and maintaining computing infrastructure and enterprise applications for corporate, call center, QA, and development teams, with an accent on designing, planning, installing, configuring, and ongoing support of client-server infrastructure. Focus on identifying and implementing cost-effective technology solutions, ensuring security, and automating repetitive tasks.

Location: Onsite in Mississauga, Canada (Meadowvale Office HQ). Requires ability to provide 24-hour on-call and on-site emergency support as needed, including some evening and weekend work.

What you will do

• Perform research and analysis in server infrastructure technology to identify, propose and implement cost-effective solutions.
• Provide 3rd level support in designated technology areas.
• Perform installations and upgrades of server operating systems, system software, system patches, and hot fixes.
• Provide day-to-day operational support and system administration tasks.
• Ensure the security of IT assets, data, network access, and backup systems, and implement monitoring and alerting.
• Identify opportunities for automation to streamline repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.

Requirements

• University Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Networking, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years’ progressive experience in IT Systems Administration and Architecture.
• 3+ years of experience and knowledge of Linux and Windows Server and related services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, NPS).
• 3+ years of experience with MS Exchange, Office 365, Skype for Business/Microsoft Teams, SharePoint.
• 3+ years of experience in virtualization technology, Hyper-V.
• Working knowledge of IAM platform OneLogin, standard SSO and SAML authentication technologies.
• Working knowledge of SAN technology and administration (Pure Storage, iSCSI, Fiber Channel).
• Experience with monitoring tools like Zabbix/SCOM/PRTG, escalation processes, and procedures.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience managing vulnerabilities, endpoint security, and patch management using tools like Qualys, Microsoft Defender, and Patch my PC.
• Working knowledge of Scripting/Automation (PowerShell).
• English: B2 required.

Nice to have

• Relevant certifications (Security+, AWS certified Solution Architect, Azure Administrator Associate).
• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate.
