What you will do

• Build software tools and construct scenarios for system performance analysis.
• Develop prototypes to prove design concepts and quantify technical constraints.
• Collaborate with engineers on product development planning and organization.
• Manage the complete software lifecycle, from requirements to testing and rollout.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, computer science, data science, or an engineering discipline.
• Software development experience in C++ or Python.
• Experience with distributed systems or large-scale consumer internet systems.
• Production experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of version control, CI/CD, deployment, and monitoring.
• Strong background in math and physics.
• Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
• Must conform to U.S. Government export regulations (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).

Nice to have

• Experience with profiling and improving application performance.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, CockroachDB).
• Previous experience with satellites or spacecraft systems.
