TL;DR

Intern Sustainability (AI): Supporting the core function of hirify.global in driving sustainable products with an accent on EPR data collection, timber/deforestation regulation compliance, and product carbon footprint data. Focus on researching regulatory requirements, updating due-diligence processes, and leveraging AI tools for data streamlining and analysis.

Location: Based in Munich. This position is limited to 6 months.

What you will do

• Support EPR data and certification collection, including supplier follow-ups.
• Contribute to timber and deforestation regulation compliance by supporting due-diligence process updates and researching regulatory requirements.
• Support product carbon footprint data collection, including preparation of quality-control documentation.
• Review, organize, and upload external social and environmental audit reports; administer the amfori platform.
• Support the documentation of sustainability KPIs and conduct background research on climate risk methodologies.
• Leverage AI tools to streamline data collection, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance analysis and reporting processes.

Requirements

• Educational background in sustainability, environmental studies, human rights, or business administration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Excel.
• Hands-on experience with project/task management tools, especially Asana, and confidence working with Confluence.
• Clear and engaging communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently in a dynamic setting.
• Fluency in English.

Nice to have

• Consulting experience, and/or a strong ability to structure work, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results.
• Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI.
• German language skills, especially for translation and proofreading tasks.
