We are a small indie studio developing a fast-paced multiplayer PvP game in Unreal Engine 5 with strong traction and a growing community.
We are looking for a Map Level Designer who can take ownership of a map from concept to final delivery. You will be responsible for ideation, blockout, iteration, optimization, and delivering a polished, gameplay-ready environment built with performance constraints in mind.
🚀 Responsibilities
• Design and build multiplayer maps for fast-paced PvP combat
• Create blockouts and greyboxes with gameplay-first thinking
• Take maps from blockout to final art pass
• Ensure maps are optimized and performant within strict technical limitations
• Deliver polished maps ready for live multiplayer gameplay
📚 Required Skills
• Strong Unreal Engine 5 experience
• Experience designing multiplayer maps
• Portfolio showcasing both blockouts and finished environments
• Understanding of vertical and dynamic gameplay spaces
• Ability to work within a 4 million poly budget per map
• Experience working with forward shading pipeline
• Ability to create visually strong environments without Nanite, Lumen, virtual textures, or global illumination
• Strong understanding of performance optimization under tight constraints
👍 Nice to Have
• Experience working on indie multiplayer projects
• Understanding of competitive PvP flow and player behavior
