What you will do

  • Take ownership of level design from initial concept to final implementation, ensuring an engaging player experience.
  • Design, build, and iterate high-quality level layouts tailored for FPS / action gameplay, with a strong focus on flow, pacing, and combat scenarios.
  • Craft layouts that support intense combat encounters, smart AI pathing, and player agency in fast-paced environments.
  • Implement player guidance systems for intuitive navigation during chaotic action sequences.
  • Use terrain, structures, and verticality to create strategic opportunities and diverse tactical options.
  • Integrate occlusion, cover systems, line of sight control, and funneling techniques to enhance gameplay rhythm and technical performance.
  • Place and tune gameplay elements such as AI, triggers, objectives, pickups, and interactive set-pieces.
  • Iterate based on frequent playtesting and telemetry to refine pacing, difficulty, and player flow.
  • Collaborate closely with art, tech, and narrative teams to ensure a cohesive experience across all level elements.

Requirements

  • Expertise in level design for FPS / action gameplay, from concept to final implementation.
  • Ability to design and iterate high-quality level layouts with a focus on flow, pacing, combat scenarios, and smart AI pathing.
  • Experience implementing player guidance systems and utilizing environmental elements for strategic opportunities.
  • Proficiency in integrating occlusion, cover systems, line of sight, and funneling techniques.
  • Skill in placing and tuning gameplay elements (AI, triggers, objectives, pickups).
  • Demonstrated ability to iterate based on frequent playtesting and collaborate effectively with art, tech, and narrative teams.
