What you will do

• Design, build, and iterate high-quality level layouts tailored for FPS/action gameplay.
• Craft layouts that support intense combat encounters, smart AI pathing, and player agency.
• Implement player guidance systems for intuitive navigation during chaotic action sequences.
• Integrate occlusion, cover systems, line of sight control, and funneling techniques to enhance gameplay.
• Place and tune gameplay elements such as AI, triggers, objectives, pickups, and interactive set-pieces.
• Collaborate closely with art, tech, and narrative teams to ensure a cohesive experience.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Level Designer with at least one shipped AAA FPS or action title.
• Deep understanding of core level design principles: flow, pacing, sightlines, navigation, and encounter staging.
• Expertise with modern level design toolsets, including Unreal Engine 5.
• Strong spatial thinking with the ability to translate gameplay goals into effective 3D layouts.
• Solid grasp of combat dynamics, arena design, and player motivation in high-pressure environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working across disciplines.
• Experienced in mentoring junior designers and contributing to level design guidelines.
