TL;DR
Confirmed Backend Engineer (Java): Design, build, and operate robust and scalable services for user identity, authentication, accounts, and authorization with an accent on platform security, data privacy, and migrating to a service-oriented architecture on GCP. Focus on developing features to build trust, protect members from malicious attacks, and ensure compliance with personal data regulations.
Location: Hybrid in Paris, France (2-3 days at the office)

What you will do
- Design, build, and evolve core backend services for user identity, authentication, accounts, and authorization for the platform.
- Participate in the whole application lifecycle, from early meetings and design to development, test strategy, deployment, monitoring, alerting, and support.
- Contribute to the ongoing migration from a monolith to a fully service-oriented architecture, helping to build a cloud-compatible platform on GCP.
- Enhance platform security and data privacy, ensuring services are protected against malicious activity and regulations pertaining to personal data are respected.
- Operate services in production, ensuring they perform as expected through robust monitoring and instrumentation.
- Collaborate with Product teams to find the most relevant and secure solutions for members.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience from companies with a strong engineering culture, within a growth context.
- Fluent in Java and know frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, JUnit, and Mockito.
- Hands-on experience with Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and monitoring solutions (Datadog).
- Good knowledge of service-oriented and event-driven architecture.
- Good communication skills, humble and a team player.
- Full working proficiency in English.
