Location: Hybrid in Utrecht, Netherlands. Must be located in the Netherlands; relocation is not possible for this role.

Salary: EUR 4,024–EUR 5,747 gross monthly for a 36-hour work week.

What you will do

• Translate business requirements on sanctions circumvention risk into concrete model features.
• Perform data analysis to uncover common sanctions circumvention patterns.
• Aid in developing statistical models that suppress false positive sanctions alerts.
• Identify sanctions risk gaps using data analysis and propose solutions to cover them.
• Develop proof of concepts for new statistical models in a project team.
• Contribute to strengthening hirify.global's capability to detect and mitigate sanctions risks with advanced analytics.

Requirements

• Background in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Econometrics, or a related quantitative field.
• At least 2 years of experience in advanced data science in a regulated environment.
• Extensive hands-on experience in Python for developing and testing statistical models.
• Comfortable challenging the status quo, identifying problems, and delivering solutions.
• Demonstrate sound communication skills to translate complex technical insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• Must be located in the Netherlands.

Nice to have

• Experience with PySpark, SQL, and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with application productization and implementation of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
