Lead Software Engineer (AI)

TL;DR

Lead Software Engineer (AI): Supporting data science and engineering activities to secure scalable data architectures and AI/ML pipelines with an accent on unlocking the value of structured and unstructured data in support of national defense priorities. Focus on implementing data engineering activities and developing and deploying pipelines and platforms that organize and make complicated data meaningful.

What you will do

• Establish engineering best practices and ensure compliance across the entire portfolio.
• Enable development with API technologies including the installation, configuration, operations, and troubleshooting of API products.
• Employ MLOps best practices when developing, testing, and maintaining data pipelines.
• Align and prioritize initiatives with the product roadmap in accordance with the organizations needs and overall operational goal.
• Direct best practices for database security, including setting up user accounts and managing access controls.
• Facilitate the “conception though completion” of large-scale digital products, in conjunction with Product teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant work experience OR 6+ years of relevant work experience with Masters Degree.
• 3+ years of experience with data analytics, data engineering, statistical analysis, or artificial intelligence and machine learning.
• 3+ years of experience with common data science languages, including Python and R.
• 3+ years of experience retrieving, merging, and analyzing structured and unstructured data sources from APIs and databases, including through R, Python, or SQL.
• 2+ years of experience working with Advana.
• Secret/Top Secret clearance

Nice to have

• 2+ years of experience working with Palantir Foundry.
• Experience developing enterprise applications with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, and Vue.
• Experience building modern, responsive, and cross-browser-compatible websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise analytic products using business intelligence software applications, such as Qlik, Tableau, etc.
• Expected to possess proficiency in manipulating data for analytical assessments; be proficient with tools and programming languages such as Excel / PowerBI.
