Salary: $143,900–$215,900 USD

What you will do

• Design and build new partner-facing APIs that power automation and integration.
• Expand and improve the Powered by hirify.global platform, ensuring reliability and scalability.
• Enhance partner developer tools and documentation for seamless experiences.
• Balance internal and external needs, ensuring systems are ergonomic and scalable.
• Collaborate across Platform, Infrastructure, and Product Engineering teams.
• Lead technical initiatives, mentor teammates, and contribute to architectural decisions.

Requirements

• API Development Experience: Built and maintained APIs, gateways, and integration points serving production traffic.
• Language Proficiency: Fluent in Python, with strong experience in Django and ideally the Django REST Framework.
• Authentication Knowledge: Familiarity with OAuth, API keys, and JWTs.
• Scale and Reliability Mindset: Designs systems for performance, resilience, and maintainability.
• Developer Experience Focus: Cares deeply about usability and how external developers interact with APIs.
• Remote-Ready Discipline: Communicates clearly in writing, works autonomously, and thrives in an asynchronous, distributed team.

Nice to have

• Experience designing or maintaining OpenAPI specifications or exploring SDK generation.
• Familiarity with AI-powered development tools or excitement to learn about AI.
• Experience working with external partners or developer platforms.
• Front-End Experience: Familiarity with React and Next.js for understanding embedded experiences.
