Senior Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: This position is US - Remote Eligible. You must live in a state where hirify.global, Inc. has a registered entity.

Salary: $191,000—$223,000 USD

What you will do

• Build and maintain a service-oriented, modular, and efficient long-term technology stack with well-defined APIs.
• Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and XFN partners to develop features and respond to fraud and risk issues.
• Integrate with third-party vendors and payment networks to enhance chargeback defense systems.
• Develop and iterate on dispute & chargeback mitigation and remediation strategies.
• Focus on continuous monitoring and alerting to improve the quality and observability of risk systems.
• Contribute to advancing engineering processes and technical foundations across hirify.global.

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant industry experience (Payments/Fintech) as a backend software engineer.
• Proficient in at least one major programming language (preferably Java/Kotlin/Python).
• Exposure to architectural patterns of large, high-scale web applications, including well-designed APIs and efficient algorithms.
• Strong rigor in high code quality, automated testing, and engineering best practices.
• Familiarity with experimentation and machine learning techniques.
• Must live in a state where hirify.global, Inc. has a registered entity in the US.

Nice to have

• Experience in React (or any equivalent JS library).
• Experience in fraud/spam detection/mitigation in the payments domain.
