At Marc Ellis, we are looking for a skilled Java Backend Developer to join a high-impact digital banking program, building secure, scalable, cloud-native microservices in a modern engineering environment.
This role is ideal for engineers who thrive in enterprise-grade systems, microservices architecture, and performance-driven development.

💼 Key Responsibilities:
▪ Design, develop & maintain backend services using Spring Boot & Java
▪ Build microservices-based architectures for high-availability systems
▪ Develop & consume RESTful APIs
▪ Deploy applications in OpenShift cloud environments
▪ Work closely with Oracle Database (performance tuning & optimization)
▪ Ensure code quality, security & banking compliance standards
▪ Collaborate within Agile Scrum teams

🧠 Core Technical Stack (Must Have):
✅ Java SE 8+
✅ Spring Boot
✅ JPA / Hibernate
✅ Microservices Architecture
✅ RESTful APIs
✅ Git
✅ Postman (API testing & validation)
⚙️ Nice to Have:

⭐ Docker / Kubernetes (K8s)
⭐ OpenAPI Specification
⭐ Agile / Scrum environment

🎯 Profile We’re Targeting:
✔ 5+ years in backend development
✔ Strong hands-on coding & system design experience
✔ Previous banking / financial services experience is highly preferred
