TL;DR

Data Analyst (Web3): Designing and performing analyses to help the Economics and Executive Leadership teams make informed, data-driven decisions and building/maintaining systems for production applications. Focus on shaping incentives, optimizing network design, and influencing decision-making in decentralized economics through economic models, simulations, and statistical analyses.

Location: Remote (Global). Overlap some working hours with Eastern Standard Time (EST) is requested.

What you will do

• Design and perform analyses to help Economics and Executive Leadership teams make informed, data-driven decisions.
• Build and maintain systems for the parameterization of production applications.
• Work on blockchain economics projects, including designing novel mechanisms, incentive schemes, and trading systems.
• Optimize network parameters for production applications and contribute to Economics programs and applications.
• Engage with Economics, Product, Engineering, Research, and Data Science teams to understand network dynamics.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in a quantitative role, particularly trading or quant research.
• Deep understanding of financial and crypto markets and incentives.
• Extensive financial modeling background, including data engineering and model automation.
• Strong SQL and Python skills are mandatory.
• Experience solving economic problems through statistical/econometric analyses.
• Substantial data analysis and/or data science experience.

Nice to have

• Strong Economics and/or Finance background through Masters-level academics and/or multiple years of industry experience.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills necessary to productionize/operationalize processes and applications.
• Familiarity with smart contract code and dApp architecture (Rust, Go, Solidity programming experience preferred).
• Published research with an economics or crypto focus.
