Software Engineering Team Lead (Identity Platform)

TL;DR

Software Engineering Team Lead (Identity Platform): Leading the design and development of scalable and resilient distributed systems for identity security. Focus on architecture decisions, code quality, and mentoring engineers.

Location: Hybrid (2-3 days onsite in Santa Clara, United States). While we’re not able to offer relocation assistance, candidates who plan to relocate independently are encouraged to apply.

Salary: $136,000 – $200,000/year, plus equity and discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Lead the design and development of scalable, resilient distributed systems.
• Set technical direction and drive design conversations.
• Mentor and empower engineers, raising the bar for code quality and performance.
• Partner with Product, SRE, and Security to deliver reliable and secure systems.
• Break down complex problems and deliver impactful work.
• Champion best practices in observability, testing, and automation.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of experience building large-scale, cloud-based systems.
• 2+ years in a technical leadership role.
• Strong expertise in .NET / .NET Core and distributed systems design.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP, RESTful APIs, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
• Clear communication and the ability to influence architecture decisions.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with identity standards (OAuth, OIDC, SAML).
• Solid understanding of security fundamentals.
• Experience with performance tuning and scalability optimization.
