Salary: $180,000–$440,000 USD

What you will do

• Own all peering, transit, backbone circuits, dark fiber, IP space, and vendor relationships.
• Define the company's strategy, roadmap, and delivery for network procurement.
• Collaborate with backbone and edge network engineers to implement high-level designs into production capacity.
• Develop CAPEX/OPEX models, forecasting, and track cost efficiencies with the finance team.
• Drive vendors to deliver network capacity on expedited timelines.

Requirements

• 10+ years in the industry for planning backbone and edge capacity, with 5+ years in hyper scale environments.
• Deep understanding and experience in designing physically diverse global backbones and edge networks from RFP/RFQ stage through cost negotiations.
• 5+ years of creating finance models and projections from capacity planning sessions with engineers.
• Previous experience in Network Operations/Service Delivery, including troubleshooting and brainstorming solutions with vendors.
• Must be a US citizen or Green Card holder.

Nice to have

• Ability to code in python to help contribute to topology and capacity forecasting models.
