Product Designer (Design Systems)

TL;DR

Product Designer (Design Systems): Leading the design for hirify.global’s internal design system, Blocks, to evolve and improve the user experience of the platform with an accent on maintaining a tight coupling between Figma library and codebase. Focus on advocating for a user-first approach, ensuring accessibility, and influencing product decisions through data-driven insights.

Location: US Remote. This position is primarily remote but requires participation in in-person company events and building in-person relationships if you are near one of our offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, New York, and London.

Salary: $217,000–$285,000 on an annualized basis, with a meaningful equity grant.

What you will do

• Lead design for Blocks, hirify.global’s internal design system, used across all products and services.
• Partner with engineering and product to maintain a tight coupling between Figma library and codebase.
• Strategically evolve and augment the design system in response to product needs.
• Advocate for a user-first approach, ensuring the design system drives value for neighbors.
• Influence product and business decisions by effectively communicating UX rationale to stakeholders.
• Drive experimentation and A/B testing efforts to optimize UX improvements.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in systems design, UX design, product design, or related field.
• Deep expertise in design systems, interaction design, and usability principles.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating impactful work in complex systems.
• Deep expertise in Figma’s design system tooling.
• Familiarity with technical integrations and workflows connecting Figma to code.
• Strong storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale.

Nice to have

• Experience working on engagement-driven social media products.
• Background in UX research.
