What you will do

• Define and document standard device network topologies and edge-to-cloud connectivity models.
• Partner with customer-facing teams to address network constraints and establish deployment best practices.
• Design and maintain routing, firewall, and local network configurations on embedded devices.
• Lead incident triage and root-cause analysis for networking issues in deployed systems.
• Identify recurring failure modes and drive improvements to reliability and performance.

Requirements

• 8+ years with embedded Linux networking, including routing, firewalling, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience deploying devices into customer-managed networks with varying security and topology constraints.
• Hands-on experience defining, operating, and troubleshooting routing and firewall rules.
• Practical knowledge of VPNs and network segmentation, including VLANs.
• Experience designing or operating edge-to-cloud connectivity models, such as outbound tunnels, reverse proxies, or VPN-based access.
• Strong network troubleshooting and diagnostics skills.

Nice to have

• Experience managing Layer 3 networking infrastructure, including ACLs and VLANs.
• Experience working with Android-based devices.
• Knowledge of wireless networking, including modern Wi-Fi standards.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and container platforms.
• Background with real-time or streaming network protocols.
