What you will do

• Extend backend APIs, business logic, and database queries primarily using PHP.
• Build and enhance UI components using React and modern JavaScript.
• Ship features end-to-end, from initial requirements to production deployment.
• Debug and fix issues across both legacy and modern codebases.
• Write automated tests for both backend and frontend flows.
• Take ownership of specific backend services, API endpoints, or frontend modules over time.

Requirements

• 5+ years shipping web applications in production.
• Strong PHP fundamentals, including OOP, MVC, and experience with frameworks like Laravel or Symfony.
• Demonstrated experience with full-stack development (PHP backend + React frontend).
• Comfortable navigating existing legacy PHP codebases and actively contributing to their modernization.
• Experience with REST APIs, relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), and caching systems (Redis).
• Ability to write automated tests using tools like PHPUnit or Jest.

Nice to have

• Experience building SaaS or e-commerce platforms.
• Familiarity with migrating legacy PHP applications to modern frameworks.
• Experience with microservices, modular architectures, or API-first designs.
• Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, GCP).
