Senior Backend Engineer (FedRAMP)

TL;DR

Senior Backend Engineer (FedRAMP): Building the platform and shared services that will enable hirify.global to quickly bring to market a suite of IoT devices and to power hirify.global’s “operating system for buildings” with an accent on architecture, design, and development across a broad range of projects. Focus on building scalable distributed systems capable of handling high traffic and leading junior engineers.

Location: San Mateo, CA, United States. Must be independently authorized to work in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this role, at this time.

Salary: $190,000 - $275,000 USD

What you will do

• Build scalable distributed systems capable of handling high traffic from 100s of thousands of devices deployed around the world.
• Work with high concurrency key-value storage systems (Redis, DynamoDB).
• Spin up new services in a microservices architecture.
• Help lead and grow junior engineers.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or similar technical field of study.
• 6+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience driving technical direction and leading teams towards project execution.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Mastery of at least one common server programming language (Python, Go).
• Experience with relational databases like Postgres, MySQL, etc.
• Experience with distributed systems at scale.
