Senior Gameplay Animator

Senior Gameplay Animator: Generating highly polished in-game animations for AAA and original IP titles with an accent on providing pre-visualization animations for gameplay elements. Focus on evolving and refining motion for characters, weapons, vehicles, and environmental objects.

Location: Remote from registered states in the US and Canadian provinces only. Must be located in or able to work from a state where hirify.global is registered.

Salary: $80,000–$120,000 CAD

What you will do

• Work with the Art Director, Lead Animator & Design team to visualize and integrate motion into an immersive world.
• Implement animation assets and test them in-engine for accuracy.
• Mentor other animators on technique and process.
• Create animations in a variety of styles, from ultra-realistic mocap to highly stylized hand-keyed motion.

Requirements

• 4+ years’ experience in the game industry with character and object animation, and shipped 2+ titles as an animator.
• Expert-level understanding of the principles of animation, game animation pipelines, and workflow.
• Experience in UE4 and UE5, and establishing new workflows/tools for content creation.
• Knowledge and application of both keyframe and performance capture animation in a real-time environment.
• Solid grasp of performance requirements and constraints for current-generation console and PC gaming development.
• Strong communication, time management, mentoring skills, and ability to initiate visual direction without specific concept or design.
