What you will do
- Design and implement the core platform for virtual care delivery, integrating EHR, care management systems, billing, and patient communication tools.
- Establish robust data flows and ensure HIPAA-compliant, scalable architecture.
- Build data infrastructure and tooling for clinical teams to enable informed decisions and automate care workflows.
- Lead critical technical decisions, evaluate build vs. buy trade-offs, and shape the technical roadmap.
- Define code standards, testing expectations, deployment processes, and technical documentation.
- Ensure system reliability, monitoring, and continuous improvement for healthcare-critical workflows.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software development experience.
- Expert-level proficiency in Elixir.
- Experience building and shipping high-quality, highly reliable work.
- Experience improving quality through thoughtful code reviews, testing, proper rollout, and monitoring.
- Product mindset, strategic technical leadership, and high autonomy.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous startup environments and adapt quickly.
Nice to have
- Experience with healthcare technology standards (FHIR, HL7, X12) and HIPAA-compliant systems.
- Experience with Phoenix LiveView.
