What you will do

• Own all aspects of the Session Replay player and investigation workflows.
• Lead the design and implementation of complex, stateful frontend systems.
• Lead discussions for seamless integration with broader Grafana Cloud products.
• Implement visual designs using clean, reusable components.
• Improve internal tooling, patterns, and shared components.
• Help grow the team by interviewing and mentoring engineers.

Requirements

• Comfortable working in a remote-first company with strong communication skills.
• Collaborative, friendly, kind, and respectful approach to teamwork.
• Strong experience as a Frontend Engineer, comfortable owning features in ambiguous problem spaces.
• Good understanding of a user-centered software development process.
• Ability to design solutions, get feedback, and prototype independently.
• Experience troubleshooting modern web application issues with profilers, debuggers, bundlers, and testing libraries.
• Must be based in Spain, Germany, Ireland, the UK, or Sweden.
• Able to communicate design decisions clearly in written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Experience with observability tools (Grafana, Datadog, New Relic, Sentry, etc.).
• Experience building debugging or developer-focused tools.
• Familiarity with Storybook, Jest, React Testing Library, or Playwright.
• Experience dealing with performance-sensitive UIs.
• Understanding of privacy, security, or access control concerns in frontend applications.
