What you will do

• Develop and validate production-ready algorithms and models for fault detection and trend analysis.
• Analyze complex time-series data from thousands of industrial assets.
• Evaluate model impact beyond experiments, considering interpretability, maintainability, and user benefit.
• Collaborate with engineers to define deployment, retraining, and monitoring requirements for ML systems.
• Contribute to shared frameworks and standards for the machine learning eco-system.
• Balance exploratory research with practical delivery, pursuing new ideas while minimizing risk.

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in applied machine learning or data science.
• Proficiency in Python, git, and core ML/analysis libraries.
• Proven experience applying models to large datasets in production environments and the experiment cycle.
• Ability to design interpretable, efficient models that generalize across real-world conditions.
• Strong skills in experiment design, metrics definition, and model validation.
• Must be an EU/EEA citizen, eligible for a search year visa, or eligible for a partner visa to work in the Netherlands.
