Senior QA Automation SDET (Java/Angular/AWS): Responsible for quality assurance and test automation for a complex internal web application, with an accent on automating test cases (end-to-end, integration, API) and integrating QA components into CI/CD pipelines. What you will do
- Lead test strategy and automation for backend (Java) and frontend (Angular) focusing on end-to-end, integration, and API tests.
- Integrate QA components into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab).
- Establish a strong quality mindset within the team and coach developers on writing better tests.
- Make strategic decisions about which tests should be implemented as unit, integration, or E2E tests.
- Monitor production issues and ensure efficient bug reporting (Jira) and resolution.
Requirements
- Extensive senior QA experience for web projects, including building automation projects from scratch.
- Very strong Java programming skills for backend and API tests.
- Good TypeScript/JavaScript knowledge for frontend automation with Angular.
- Experience with common automation frameworks like Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, REST Assured, JUnit, and Gherkin.
- Proficient with GitLab CI/CD pipelines, AWS environments, SQL (PostgreSQL), Jira, and Confluence.
- Strong communication, analytical, and hands-on mindset.
Nice to have
- Passion for excellent user experience and an eye for design details or strong interest in UX testing.
- Ability to perform exploratory testing to uncover usability gaps and critically assess the application from a user’s perspective.
