Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Fintech)

TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (Fintech): Building and enhancing services to meet critical product and business needs using Java, Golang and RDS Postgres with an accent on designing scalable high volume and low-latency systems. Focus on solving novel problems with modern cloud technology and industry best practices.

Location: In-person participation is required throughout the year. Team and company-wide offsites are held multiple times annually.

What you will do

• Build and enhance services using Java, Golang, and RDS Postgres to meet critical product and business needs.
• Design scalable high volume and low-latency systems.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to turn product and technical vision into a roadmap.
• Write high quality, well-tested code.
• Maintain production services and database infrastructure.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in software engineering.
• Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining critical low-latency production services.
• Good awareness of at least one of the major SQL or No-SQL databases - Postgres, SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB.
• Passion for building an open financial system.

Nice to have

• Domain experience with crypto, derivatives or other financial products.
• Experience architecting complex distributed systems at scale.
• Experience with Java, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka and Postgres.
• Experience with Ad-Tech, financial or SaaS systems.
• Experience going through rapid company growth from startup to mid-size.
