What you will do

• Proactively manage production services by measuring and monitoring availability, capacity, and overall system health.
• Shape software before go-live through system design consulting, capacity planning, and launch reviews.
• Scale and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve capacity and reliability.
• Practice sustainable incident management in a blameless postmortem culture.
• Identify and build improvements to system behavior, control, and monitoring tools.

Requirements

• Experience in one or more of the following: Java, Python, and Perl.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with appreciation of technical risk.
• Experience with automated testing, SDLC concepts, and developing applications in a Linux environment.
• Sound knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and software design.
• Systematic problem-solving approach and a sense of ownership and drive.
• Ability to debug and optimize code and automate routine tasks.
• Minimum of 2 years technology experience in a commercial environment.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• DevOps/SRE experience.
• Experience with relational databases, Hadoop, and big data technologies.
• Knowledge of the financial industry or compliance/risk functions.
