What you will do

• Architect and implement scalable backend services using Node.js and Event-Driven Architecture.
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas, ensuring data integrity and high availability.
• Deploy and manage production workloads on AWS, utilizing Lambda, ECS, and serverless patterns.
• Lead technical design, perform deep-dive code reviews, and mentor mid-level engineers.
• Improve observability and reduce technical debt, driving a "you build it, you run it" culture.
• Collaborate with frontend and AI/ML teams to define robust API contracts and data flow strategies.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional backend development experience, ideally with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Advanced experience with databases, including PostgreSQL (complex joins, indexing, query optimization).
• Proven track record of building and scaling applications on AWS (compute, messaging, and storage services).
• Hands-on experience designing asynchronous systems, message queues, and event streams.
• Strong experience building and maintaining production-grade RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL services.
• Disciplined approach to testing (unit, integration, and load testing) and a focus on writing clean, maintainable, and secure code.
