What you will do

• Design and deploy enterprise-scale AI systems at scale.
• Shape technical direction for prototypes and production solutions using LLMs and agentic patterns.
• Influence technical decisions and contribute across the full solution lifecycle.
• Collaborate with platform and governance teams to define secure, scalable, and compliant AI foundations.
• Stay informed on AI advancements and assess their applicability to ensure solutions remain innovative.

Requirements

• Ability to architect AI systems at scale, applying cloud-native principles and ensuring security, compliance, and governance.
• Experience influencing and improving enterprise AI environments by collaborating with platform and governance teams.
• Strong Python expertise and solid software engineering fundamentals for building secure, production-ready systems.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering production-grade AI services, including API development, containerization, and automated infrastructure.
• Applied experience with observability and MLOps practices, monitoring system health and model performance.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical partners, translating business requirements into actionable solutions.
• Work style is hybrid, requiring at least two days per week, or 40% of time, at one of the London, Bristol, or Edinburgh office sites.

Nice to have

• Understanding of Commercial and Business Banking products, services, and processes.
• Exposure to LLM concepts such as context engineering, retrieval strategies, agentic workflows, and frameworks like LangGraph.
• Experience with front-end development to quickly prototype and validate AI-driven solutions.
