Senior Backend Engineer

What you will do

• Design and build distributed applications and services.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of systems.
• Develop server-side programming using Scala or Python.
• Implement polyglot persistence and an API-first approach.
• Contribute to a distributed scalable environment with continuous delivery.
• Work on real-life big data applications.

Requirements

• 7+ years experience building distributed applications and services.
• Deep understanding of high availability, performance, and security.
• Strong proficiency in Scala, Python, or similar backend languages (Java, .NET, Golang).
• Proficiency in DevOps, SQL, and NoSQL.
• Agile mindset and ability to pivot quickly.
• Passion for designing and building APIs.

Nice to have

• Experience with stream processing and public cloud platforms.
• Production experience with eventual consistency.
• Track record with systems serving 1+ million daily active users.
