What you will do

• Lead and develop your game's engineering team, fostering a culture of ownership and accountability.
• Own the technical architecture and strategy for your game, balancing immediate delivery with long-term scalability.
• Champion engineering workflows that prioritize speed and reliability, from feature development to live service integration.
• Partner proactively across disciplines (Product, Design, Art, Data, QA) to remove blockers.
• Establish and uphold best practices for code quality, mobile performance, and observability.
• Manage engineering resource allocation, balancing feature delivery, technical debt, and live operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Technical Director or equivalent, shipping and operating mobile free-to-play or live service titles.
• Strong technical credibility in Unity and mobile game development, with ability to make sound architectural decisions and mentor engineers.
• Track record of building high-performing engineering teams in fast-paced environments.
• Experience as a cross-functional partner who can translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluency with the free-to-play business model and designing systems that support monetization and live operations.
• Clear, direct communicator who builds trust across a globally distributed, remote-first team.
• Must be based in the United States.
