Lead Product Manager (InsurTech)

TL;DR

Lead Product Manager (InsurTech): Owns the definition, creation, execution, and support of a product area within a technology platform with an accent on understanding user needs, defining platform requirements, and managing the end-to-end product development lifecycle. Focus on driving execution, conceptualizing product strategy, and building trusted advisor relationships with clients in high-volume, high-impact sectors.

Location: Hybrid in Greenwich, CT. Must be able to travel on need basis to meet clients/attend events.

Salary: $160,000 – $180,000

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and mentor junior product managers on the team.
• Own a product area, documenting user needs, defining platform requirements, and managing end-to-end product development.
• Oversee and drive execution of the product lifecycle, including research, planning, roadmap, and backlog management.
• Track execution, identify and solve blockers, manage risks, and achieve business targets.
• Define Product Features and own the business and technical requirements.
• Build trusted advisor relationships with client stakeholders, from operational teams to executives.

Requirements

• 10+ years of product/technical management experience building 0-1 technology solutions in high-volume, high-impact sectors like InsurTech / FinTech / Financial Services.
• Extensive knowledge of product development lifecycle and strong technical background with at least 3 years in platform or enterprise SaaS model.
• Bachelor’s or equivalent in technology or related field.
• Demonstrable success in delivering market-winning products with experience in Cloud Native, Modern Tech Stacks, and Customer/Sales Channel facing products.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams.
• Advanced level experience in delivery methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and the use of relevant tools.
• Must be able to travel on need basis to meet clients/attend events.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in Life & Annuity or InsurTech, Underwriting product experience.
• Working knowledge of SQL, Python, or similar tools used for data mapping or configuration.
• Experience in Agile environments.
