What you will do

• Directly manage and lead a team of Software Development Engineers and Machine Learning Engineers.
• Develop engineering roadmaps and drive engineering executions for Sponsored Products and Brands Off-Search ads retrieval with ML and GenAI solutions.
• Lead hardware and operational annual planning to enable multi-surface monetization and deliver relevant ad experiences.
• Foster cross-team collaborations with applied science teams and page experience teams in Off-Search and SPB.
• Hire and develop top talent, providing technical and career development guidance to team members.

Requirements

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience
• 8+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
• Experience debugging, profiling, and implementing best software engineering practices in large-scale systems.
• Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability and scaling).
• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• US work authorization required.

Nice to have

• Experience communicating with users, technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe features, and define product strategy.
• Experience building large-scale machine learning models and infrastructure for online recommendation, ads ranking, personalization, or search.
• Master's degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• Strong track record of delivering complex initiatives end-to-end including planning, designing, execution, and operation.
