TL;DR

Statistical Analyst (Actuarial): Analyzing and refactoring industry-standard pricing models with an accent on statistics, applied mathematics, and business insights. Focus on optimizing the performance of the Excess and Reinsurance (E&R) product suite and communicating complex actuarial findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Location: Must be based in Krakow, Poland (Hybrid office presence required)

Salary: 134,000–160,000 PLN

What you will do

  • Interpret actuarial and statistical models to extract actionable business insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and product improvements.
  • Explain complex mathematical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Report on the progress of software development cycles.
  • Optimize the performance of pricing tools within the E&R division.

Requirements

  • English proficiency required
  • Strong academic background in Statistics or Applied Mathematics
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in analytical research or data analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to work full-time from the Krakow city-center office in a hybrid model
  • Logical problem-solving and detail-oriented technical aptitude

Nice to have

  • Prior experience with R, Python, or SAS
  • Familiarity with Property-Casualty Insurance coverages and methodologies
