Senior Software Engineer (AWS/Terraform)

Location: Remote within the United States or Canada

What you will do

• Maintain tooling, libraries, and infrastructure used by core service teams.
• Develop infrastructure services that enable engineers to manage, deploy, and scale backend systems.
• Guide core service teams in designing robust and reliable software.
• Coordinate and implement cross-cutting initiatives across core services.
• Document and communicate SRE best practices for maintainable backend systems.
• Conduct security reviews for new projects, technologies, and services.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, or backend engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience with AWS or another cloud provider.
• Strong programming, system design, and scripting skills.
• Deep understanding of infrastructure as code and application and network security.
• Experience setting up complex AWS environments with Terraform.

Nice to have

• Database management experience.
• Experience with Terraform, Vault, Nomad, Packer, Vagrant, Boundary, Consul, Waypoint, Redis, Aerospike, Go, ScyllaDB, Elasticsearch, RDS, Grafana, Prometheus, Kafka, Envoy, or Nginx.
