TL;DR

Software Innovation Intern (AI): Expanding and creating services using internal R&S AI tools to enhance ATC systems and test engineering artifacts with an accent on AI technologies market study and engineering template creation. Focus on optimizing project lifecycle execution using scripting for technical project management.

Location: Must be a summer resident in the Columbia, MD area. US Citizen or permanent resident required. Housing or relocation are not provided.

Salary: $22-$27/hour (minimum 30 hours per week)

What you will do

  • Expand and create services using internal R&S AI tools to enhance ATC Systems and Test engineering artifacts.
  • Create and update engineering templates for client-specific reuse.
  • Create and support Confluence templates and stylesheets for client delivery.
  • Continue AI technologies market study evaluating greenfield vs R&S internal AI tools.
  • Assist with scripting for technical project management using Jira, Confluence, and internal tools.

Requirements

  • Currently a Junior or Senior student.
  • Minimum GPA 3.0.
  • Interest in software and hardware.
  • Interest and experience in software development, including AI tools.
  • Basic understanding of data communications (IP networking, voice communications).
  • Curious and entrepreneurial attitude.
  • Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident.
