TL;DR

Service Designer: Shapes end-to-end services across people, process, technology, and data within a fast-moving innovation environment with an accent on framing problems, designing holistic service experiences, and making evidence-led decisions. Focus on leading discovery, synthesising insights, designing service blueprints, and facilitating co-creation across business, engineering, and customer perspectives.

Location: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time in the Manchester office. Occasional travel to other group locations (e.g. Leeds, London, and Edinburgh), may be required.

Salary: £61,344 - £68,160

What you will do

  • Shape end-to-end services across people, process, technology, and data.
  • Work from early discovery through MVP and scale.
  • Frame problems, design holistic service experiences, and make evidence-led decisions.
  • Lead discovery and synthesise insights across customer, market, and data signals.
  • Design service blueprints and map dependencies across journeys, operations, platforms, and teams.
  • Apply hypothesis-led thinking, JTBD, and lightweight experimentation.

Requirements

  • Hybrid working in Manchester office (at least two days per week, or 40% of time).
  • Experience in Design-Led Discovery & Insight Sensemaking.
  • Proficiency in End-to-End Service Architecture & Systems Thinking.
  • Ability to apply Decision Leadership & Experimentation.
  • Technical & Operational Awareness, including responsible use of AI/LLM tools.
  • Strong Co-Creation & Stakeholder Facilitation skills.
