What you will do

• Design, prototype, and evaluate novel approaches in NLP, retrieval, RAG, and LLM-based systems to improve conversational quality, accuracy, and adaptability.
• Develop rigorous offline and online evaluation methodologies, define success metrics, and analyze results.
• Partner with engineers to translate research ideas into scalable, production-ready AI solutions.
• Stay current with emerging research and technologies in LLMs, agentic systems, and quality monitoring.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and design teams.

Requirements

• MS or PhD in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math, Operations Research, Physics).
• 4+ years of industry experience with Data Science/AI (or 2+ years with a PhD).
• Strong coding skills in Python, Java, or equivalent, with experience building research prototypes.
• Hands-on experience in NLP, retrieval systems, or core machine learning, including model training, fine-tuning, and evaluation.
• Solid understanding of ML experimentation workflows, metrics, and trade-offs.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with large-scale data ecosystems (e.g., Hive, SparkSQL).
• English: B2 required.
