What you will do

• Solve challenging science and business problems balancing advertiser, shopper, and Amazon interests.
• Develop real-time machine learning algorithms to allocate billions of ads per day in advertising auctions.
• Develop efficient algorithms for multi-objective optimization and AI control methods.
• Perform hands-on analysis and modeling of enormous data sets to develop insights that improve shopper experience and design metrics.
• Drive end-to-end machine learning projects that have a high degree of ambiguity, scale, and complexity.
• Run A/B experiments, gather data, and perform statistical analysis.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building machine learning models for business applications.
• PhD, or Master's degree and 6+ years of applied research experience.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning.
• Work authorization for the USA required.

Nice to have

• Experience with modeling tools such as R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, Tensorflow, numpy, scipy.
• Experience with large scale distributed systems such as Hadoop, Spark.
