Unreal Programmer (C++)

TL;DR

Unreal Programmer (C++): Developing and optimizing game systems for mobile platforms with an accent on identifying and solving performance issues and maintaining engine-toolchain links. Focus on debugging new mobile devices, automating tools, and ensuring robust integrations with first-party services.

Location: Truly flexible work: 100% remote (for individuals residing in the province of Quebec), hybrid, or 100% on-site. Ability to travel outside the country when needed.

What you will do

• Participate in daily Scrum meetings and code reviews.
• Identify and solve performance issues related to CPU, GPU, and memory.
• Develop and maintain links between the engine and toolchains/pipelines on mobile.
• Debug issues related to new mobile devices and operating system updates.
• Automate tools for use by programming and QA teams.
• Maintain configurations and integrations with first-party services (Apple, Google, Epic, etc.).

Requirements

• University or college degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a programming role.
• Strong understanding of hardware and software layers involved in running a video game.
• Ability to think systemically while considering complex architectures.
• Comfortable with long development iterations.
• Excellent command of C++.
• Mobile game development experience is a strong asset.
• Excellent command of both French and English (spoken and written); English skills are required to perform the job.
