Senior Manual Test Engineer

TL;DR

Senior Manual Test Engineer: Responsible for manual testing all aspects of a software solution, ensuring defect tracking and release quality with an accent on web and mobile application testing. Focus on executing functional and automation testing, maintaining test documentation, and supporting production incidents.

Location: Onsite in Ashburn, Virginia, United States. Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a DHS background check.

What you will do

• Perform automation testing of web-based and mobile applications.
• Ensure that all defects are entered into the defect tracking system (JIRA).
• Maintain test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures.
• Execute manual functional and automation testing based on analysis and understanding of requirements.
• Perform regression testing to ensure release quality.
• Provide functional testing to ensure features are complete and function as expected.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Computer Sciences, Engineering, Physical Sciences, or related field with applicable experience; applicable work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• At least 5 to 8 years of experience, including experience in Automation Testing.
• Must be able to pass a DHS background check and be a US Citizen.
• Ability to write test plans, test cases, test procedures, and test scripts from requirements and use cases (API end-point testing).
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS/Javascript to be able to read and understand back-end web code.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
