Senior Staff Software Engineer (Backend, FinTech): Designing and implementing next-generation core FinTech systems for processing and recording fund movements with an accent on architectural redesign for scalability and complexity. Location: Hybrid remote within Canada. In-person participation is required throughout the year for team and company-wide offsites.

Salary: $260,100 CAD (annual base)

What you will do

• Design and implement next generation core FinTech systems.
• Interact with stakeholders across different organizations at hirify.global.
• Participate in shaping the strategy and execution path of FinHub.
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Mentor and train other team members on design techniques and coding standards.
• Write high quality, well tested code to meet customer needs.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in backend software engineering using Golang or similar languages.
• Domain expertise in FinTech and/or trading.
• Proven track record of delivering impactful solutions for significant fund flows.
• Experience in designing, building, scaling, and maintaining high throughput and low latency production services.
• Experience in architecting and developing solutions to ambiguous problems with significant impact.
• Strong technical knowledge of building distributed systems that process massive scale.
• Solid communication skills, with the ability to communicate with various technical and non-technical backgrounds.
• Relentless drive to set and perseverance to achieve ambitious goals.
• Passion for building an open financial system.

Nice to have

• Practical experience of building ledgering or trading systems at large scale.
• Experience both in startups and large enterprises.
• Crypto-forward experience, including familiarity with onchain activity such as interacting with Ethereum addresses, using ENS, and engaging with dApps or blockchain-based services.
