Staff Software Engineer (Web3): Building and optimizing core services for hirify.global Chain, Tokenization Engine, and hirify.global Wallet with an accent on technical vision, execution, and engineering excellence. Focus on designing, building, and operating large-scale, distributed systems, and mentoring engineers.

Location: This role is based in our Toronto office, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

Salary: $200,000 - $235,000 CAD

What you will do

• Own the technical vision and execution for hirify.global Chain, Tokenization Engine, and hirify.global Wallet.
• Design, build, and operate core services that power hirify.global Chain, the Tokenization Engine, and the hirify.global Wallet.
• Remain deeply hands-on by writing production code and leading complex implementations.
• Improve developer practices and lead the adoption of the latest AI tooling.
• Drive technical excellence across reliability, correctness, observability, and security.
• Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar through design reviews and architecture discussions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience building and operating large-scale, distributed systems in production environments.
• Expertise in backend development using languages such as Go, Python, or Java, with deep knowledge of cloud-native architectures.
• 3+ years leading large-scale technical initiatives, with ownership spanning multiple teams or complex systems.
• Strong grasp of system design, data modeling, and software engineering fundamentals.
• Proven ability to simplify complex problems, make sound tradeoffs, and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders.
• Strong ownership mindset with a track record of delivering high-impact, end-to-end product outcomes.
