What you will do

• Lead and manage day-to-day vendor execution for safety labeling (RLHF and Ground Truth), ensuring accuracy and policy alignment.
• Optimize data quality through rigorous frameworks like Inter-Rater Reliability (IRR) and "Gold Standard" audits to prevent labeling bias.
• Collaborate with AI/ML Engineering and Policy teams to convert guidelines into efficient labeling workflows and handbooks.
• Oversee operational roadmap, unit costs, and capacity planning for global specialized labeling workforces.
• Establish and maintain business continuity and site redundancy plans for data labeling pipelines.

Requirements

• 6+ years in Ops/Trust & Safety, with a proven track record managing large-scale vendor teams for data annotation or RLHF.
• Proficiency in using data tools (SQL, Looker) to identify quality issues and operational bottlenecks.
• Ability to seamlessly bridge technical ML requirements with nuanced policy discussions.
• High tolerance for the complexity and emotional intensity of managing teams exposed to sensitive content.
• Work from headquarters in San Mateo, CA, United States, with hybrid onsite days required.
• English: B2 required.
