TL;DR
Portfolio Analyst: Analyzing and optimizing credit portfolios, risk strategies, and pricing with an accent on key portfolio metrics, customer segmentation, and product pricing. What you will do
- Analyze and monitor key credit portfolio metrics (FPD, PD, LGD, NPL, Surplus).
- Assess LTV and actively participate in product pricing strategies.
- Develop customer segmentation strategies by risk levels, products, and acquisition channels.
- Monitor risk concentration and adjust credit policy based on repayment data.
- Formulate requirements and analyze performance for scoring models, collaborating with the Data Science team.
- Optimize the portfolio structure by balancing high-yield and low-risk loans.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in analytics or portfolio analytics.
- Strong understanding of credit risks and metrics (PD, NPL, FPD, SPD, Roll Rate, CoR).
- Proficiency in probability theory and mathematical statistics.
- Advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables) and SQL (window functions, subqueries) skills.
- Basic Python experience (NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn).
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements applicable to MFIs/Banks.
Nice to have
- Experience with Big Data and BI systems.
- Basic understanding of ML models (interpretation of scoring results).
- Knowledge of financial models and statements (NPV, DCF, P&L).
- Experience with A/B testing and MFI/Banking products.
