Senior Data Engineer (Fintech)

Senior Data Engineer (Fintech): Design, develop, integrate, and test Data Product features for a credit platform with an accent on data management systems and IT Security processes. Focus on identifying and evaluating complex expertise-led solutions and coordinating across multiple teams.

Location: Hybrid, 40% (two days) in an office site in Halifax, United Kingdom.

Salary: £70,929 - £80,000

What you will do

• Collaborate with Data Operations, Software Engineers, Data Scientists, and Business SMEs.
• Design, develop, integrate, and test Data Product features on product roadmaps.
• Manage the development and/or operation of significant aspects of data management systems.
• Highlight shortcomings and suggest improvements in IT Security processes, systems, and procedures.
• Define, deliver, and adapt specialized products/services to meet customer needs.
• Coordinate across multiple teams to develop medium to long-term work schedules.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Track record in building robust data-driven projects.
• Experience in helping shape data engineering teams and mentoring junior colleagues.
