Location: While many roles at hirify.global are remote-first, in-person participation is required throughout the year for team and company-wide offsites. This role is remote in the United States.

Salary: $218,025–$256,500 USD

What you will do

• Lead engineering teams responsible for mission-critical institutional crypto products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate vision into a tangible roadmap and lead iterative design/implementation.
• Provide technical leadership, aiding in architectural decisions and fostering operational excellence.
• Coach direct reports for positive organizational impact and career growth.
• Partner with talent acquisition to recruit exceptional engineers.
• Drive engineering quality and meet SLAs for processes.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in software engineering.
• At least 1 year of engineering management experience.
• Ability to balance long-term strategic thinking with short-term planning.
• Experience in creating, delivering, and operating multi-tenanted, distributed systems at scale.
• Be hands-on when needed, including code review, on-call, and incident leadership.
• Passion for building an open financial system.

Nice to have

• Experience with rapid company growth (from 10 to 100s of engineers).
• Experience with Blockchains (such as Bitcoin, Ethereum).
• Proficiency with Golang, Ruby, Docker, Sinatra, Rails, Postgres.
• Experience building financial, high reliability, or security systems.
• Crypto-forward experience, including onchain activity such as interacting with Ethereum addresses, using ENS, and engaging with dApps or blockchain-based services.
