What you will do
- Architect and build API standards and best practices for all hirify.global APIs.
- Write high-quality, maintainable, and performant code for reusable frameworks and services.
- Lead and guide the Enterprise API team in delivering scalable, high-performance APIs.
- Implement API gateway capabilities and recommend improvements for the full API lifecycle.
- Maintain high-quality API documentation using tools like Swagger.
- Provide technical guidance, architectural oversight, and mentor developers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 10+ years of software development experience, with 4+ years in a staff engineer, architect, or technical lead role.
- Strong proficiency with .NET (C#) and JavaScript/TypeScript (NestJS, NextJS).
- Proven ability to architect large-scale API solutions and contribute as a hands-on coder.
- Expertise in event-driven architecture, pub/sub messaging, and platforms like Apache Kafka.
- Experience with API management/gateway technologies (e.g., Apigee, Kong) and IAM integration.
- Cloud-native development experience with AWS services (Lambda, EC2, S3, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SNS/SQS, RDS).
- Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (MS SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra).
- Working knowledge of DevOps practices (CI/CD, monitoring) and Docker.

- Experience with Java and related technologies.
