TL;DR

Location: San Francisco, CA, with approximately 20% travel required.

What you will do

  • Build trusted customer relationships and provide expert technical support.
  • Quickly respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve or escalate technical issues.
  • Perform daily technical operations, including installations, upgrades, and break-fix services.
  • Submit and manage feature requests and bugs with product marketing and development teams.
  • Advocate for assigned accounts, tracking issues and escalations.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and guide account teams on technical status.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in customer-facing, pre-sale/post-sale positions working with complex storage solutions.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in enterprise IT infrastructure, networking, and storage.
  • Knowledge and working experience in common Linux system administration tasks and network configurations.
  • Bash scripting is required; familiarity with one or more other programming languages.
  • Significant experience in file systems and scale-out NAS implementation.
  • Ability to travel around 20% of the time.
  • Excellent business written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to cover rotational weekend shifts once every 8-12 weeks and occasional holidays.

  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with S3 and high-performance computing.
  • Hands-on lab and hardware management experience.
  • Experience working in a rapidly growing entrepreneurial, dynamic startup environment.
