Legal Counsel (AI/SaaS)

Location: Hybrid, based in London or Paris, France. Must be qualified to practice law in France or the UK.

What you will do

• Maintain hirify.global’s core data protection compliance framework and related documentation.
• Lead key privacy deliverables, including DPA review and negotiation, and advise on data protection in SaaS contracts.
• Support R&D and Product teams on privacy-by-design principles, privacy-by-default, and IP questions for new SaaS features.
• Act as a primary point of contact for internal privacy questions and participate in procurement/vendor management for data protection, risk assessment, and third-party compliance.
• Support the full customer contract lifecycle across EMEA, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating customer and commercial agreements.
• Deliver internal training sessions on relevant topics such as contracts, privacy, data protection, marketing, and compliance.
• Contribute to legal monitoring and analysis of regulatory developments in privacy, data protection, and commercial law.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in a top-tier/tech law firm or as an in-house lawyer in a fast-growing tech company (ideally a SaaS start-up/scale-up).
• Qualified to practice in France or the UK.
• Curious, open-minded, adaptable, and excited by the dynamic startup/growth environment.
• Ability to lead and manage numerous deals and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong oral and written communications skills in French and English (German would be a bonus).
• Team-player with well-honed organizational and analytical skills.
