What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions for the Search API team.
• Participate in complex search-related projects from initial concept to deployment.
• Contribute to system optimizations and performance improvements for fast and reliable search results.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Java software development.
• Strong understanding of search algorithms, data structures, and system design principles.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, scalability challenges, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with a proactive approach and continuous learning mindset.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of cloud-based search solutions and architecture.
• Understanding of search relevancy concepts, ranking algorithms, and evaluation metrics.
• Experience in search technologies, specifically with Lucene and related frameworks.
• Experience with recommender systems.
