Senior QA Automation Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites for APIs and integrations using SoapUI and related tools.
• Perform manual testing where automation is not yet present.
• Contribute to backend development, infrastructure (IaC), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Drive continuous improvement in test coverage, automation, and quality assurance processes.
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to define and deliver features.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies and agile planning processes.

Requirements

• Solid expertise in API testing using SoapUI (functional, load, and security testing) and other tools like Postman or Insomnia.
• Hands-on experience with modern test automation frameworks, including SoapUI, Playwright, and Cypress.
• Practical experience with performance testing using JMeter.
• Programming background in Groovy, Java, Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Proficiency with Git, build tools (Maven, Gradle, NPM), and CI/CD practices (GitLab, Jenkins) using bash scripting.
• Solid understanding of API design principles (REST, OpenAPI, GraphQL) and microservices architecture.
• Database experience with SQL systems (Oracle, PostgreSQL), and familiarity with messaging/queueing systems (AWS SQS/SNS, GCP Pub/Sub).
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), Kubernetes, serverless architectures, and IaC tools (Terraform, AWS CDK, Pulumi, Ansible, Helm).
• Comfortable working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban) with a strong DevOps mindset.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills (C1).
